Sangita Gurung

Sangita Gurung, hailing from the serene village of Buriakhop, journeyed through a path shaped by her love for Nepali language. Initially nudged towards science, her heart yearned for the lyrical beauty of her mother tongue. She challenged herself, earning accolades at Tadong College with a Nepali Honours degree, and further mastering the language with a Master's from Kanchenjunga University.

Her dedication led her to Green Valley Academy in Dodok before she found her calling at Sikkim Himalayan Academy in February 2023. Sangita remains steadfast in her joyous service to her village, nurturing young minds with the essence of Nepali culture and language.
