Prativa Tamang

Prativa Tamang, shaped by the serene landscapes of Teesta Valley in Darjeeling, embarked on her educational journey at Saint Philomena Girls High School in Kalimpong. Her passion for mathematics flourished at Siliguri College, where she earned her Master's degree from North Bengal University.

Inspired by her father, a revered mathematics teacher who instilled in her a love for the profession. her lifelong dream of teaching was evident even in childhood games of "teacher-teacher," where she joyfully taught imaginary students.

Joining Sikkim Himalayan Academy in February 2024, Prativa brings a unique approach to mentoring her students, viewing them as friends as much as learners. Currently pursuing a B.Ed. from Baba Saheb Ambedkar University, she continues to enrich her teaching skills, guided by her deep-rooted commitment to nurturing young minds.
